Where to obtain: Exclusively at Kazakhstani embassies or consulates abroad. It is not possible to obtain a first-time visa within Kazakhstan itself.

- International passport: Valid for at least 6 months from the end of the trip.
- Completed visa application form.
- A photograph of the established standard (3.5 x 4.5 cm, color, on a light background).
- Medical insurance valid for the entire period of stay.
- A certificate of no criminal record from your country of residence. A critical requirement: the document must be legalized (apostilled for countries participating in the Hague Convention) and translated into Kazakh or Russian with a notarized translation. Electronic versions and printed copies without an apostille will not be accepted.
- A medical certificate confirming the absence of any illnesses that prevent you from staying (issued in the host country or upon arrival, but it is best to check the requirements of a specific embassy).
- Receipt of payment of the consular fee (approximately 80 US dollars, the exact amount depends on citizenship and the rules of a particular embassy).

From the moment you cross the border, you have 90 days to legalize your business status. During this period, you are required to:
- Register a company (LLP) or officially become a member of an existing legal entity by obtaining a BIN (business identification number).
- Form the authorized capital. Although the Law "On Limited Liability Companies" permits a minimum capital of 1 tenge, immigration regulations and the business plan later submitted to the Akimat require proof of actual solvency. It is recommended to contribute an amount sufficient to cover the company's initial expenses.
- Register for migration purposes at your place of stay.
